Ah,
The feared and VERY misunderstood words “Intermittent Fasting”. Or in other words and normal human words… “Skipping Breakfast”.

Yep, that is literally “IF” in a nutshell. It is quite literally a made up terminology for skipping breakfast. But just for this emails sake I will go a little bit deeper than that in this email. Because who doesn’t like it balls deep 😆

Intermittent fasting is not a diet, but rather a dieting pattern

In simpler terms: it’s making a conscious decision to skip certain meals on purpose.

By fasting and then feasting deliberately, intermittent fasting generally means that you consume your calories during a specific window of the day, and choose not to eat food for a larger window of time.

You may of heard of the 16/8 plan. This is basically meaning having an 8 hour window of eating and 16 hours of not eating.

The whole idea behind IF is to shorten the window of time you are “allowed” to eat food. It is supposed to lead to limit food intake. Because you are not eating during a large window of time, the short window YOU CAN eat, you are likely to consume less food.

HOWEVER LET ME MAKE SOMETHING PERFECTLY CLEAR.

You WILL NOT LOSE WEIGHT intermittent fasting if you are still eating more food then what you burn in your 8 hours.

For example, if your maintenance calories are 2,000 (meaning the amount of food you eat without losing or gaining weight) and you try out IF, but consume 3,500 calories in your eating window you ARE STILL GOING TO GAIN WEIGHT.

So please do not think IF is some amazing technique that is going to make you lose weight.

It is quite literally restricting yourself to a certain time you can eat food. 

Intermittent fasting is kinda like the pull out method.
It will only work if you pull out, if you don’t, well it’s game over and you’ve defeated the purpose. (If you know what I mean 😉)

So is IF something you should try? Well maybe, it could help, or it could make your life 10x more shit.

But here is an example you can try.

But just remember we still need to incorporate good healthy nutritious foods, if you still eat more than what you burn, you will still gain weight.
